 Steven Skelley Music ABOUT ME


I grew up listening to the best of music from folk to country to rock to pop and more. I began writing songs and poems at the age of 17. My songs have earned radio airplay and one of  my music videos had over 130,000 Youtube views.


The genres where I feel centered is country and folk. I grew up singing to our family AM radio along with the musical magic of an eclectic mix of artists Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash (whom my dad loved), John Denver, George Harrison, Anne Murray, The Mamas and Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, Loretta Lynn (whom my mom loved), Patsy Cline, Glenn Campbell, Alabama, Elvis, Ray Charles, Roy Orbison, Olivia Newton John, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, The Everly Brothers, The Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, and Tracy Chapman. My life has been filled with fabulous music by talented artists.


My music, I hope, is a mix of every artist that has influenced me and has spoken to my heart through their art.

  SEE YOU LATER by Steven Skelley SEE YOU LATER is a song I composed because of wonderful memories from my maternal grandmother. She never used the phrase goodbye. She always said see-you-later. If I made the mistake of saying "Goodbye, Grandma," she would always remind me, "This is not goodbye. It's just another see you later." When she passed on from this life, I was comforted in knowing the wisdom of her words: this wasn't goodbye. It was just another see-you-later. Hugs, Steven
