CHOOSE ME by Steven Skelley

 


CHOOSE ME is a song I composed about the feeling of wanting to fit in. It took me decades of growing up to realize that the only one I need to "choose me" is me.


As a grown man now, I'm no more like a bough blown in the breeze.

No more do I bleed from a painful need to constantly please.

I am now at peace. I've made my mind cease to want to fit it.

I feel confident to simply choose me.

  SEE YOU LATER by Steven Skelley SEE YOU LATER is a song I composed because of wonderful memories from my maternal grandmother. She never used the phrase goodbye. She always said see-you-later. If I made the mistake of saying "Goodbye, Grandma," she would always remind me, "This is not goodbye. It's just another see you later." When she passed on from this life, I was comforted in knowing the wisdom of her words: this wasn't goodbye. It was just another see-you-later. Hugs, Steven
